The Armed Forces proposed a 20% increase in salaries for the fiscal year 2020-22020, indicating a devaluation of the currency in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), an increase in utility bills and persistent inflation.
The Ministry of Defense has sent a letter to the Finance Department, in which the headquarters of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JQH) have reported at least a 20 per cent increase in the salaries of employees and officers, with a total effect of 100 per cent.
